Yellow Off The Shoulder Top

Happy Monday, friends! This morning I took a deep dive into thinking about what I want to share with you all. I wanted to evaluate who our readers are and how we relate.

Things I love: reading, cooking (eating!), gardening and of course, shopping. I want to show you things other bloggers don’t, though, and I feel like it’s so hard with the shopping factor! Do you feel like you see a lot of bloggers in the same outfits?! I want to wear brands that more so stand out. One of my favorites is Madewell. A partner of J.Crew, Madewell is high end, classic pieces that I think are ridiculously high quality. I’m obsessed with this thick material on this shirt and the fact that it’s machine washable. Off the shoulder is my new favorite trend! It’s flattering on any body type and most shirts are flowy πŸ™‚

Hope you had a good start to your week! Tonight I have a work meeting and plan to deep clean my kitchen. I made dinner yesterday for my girlfriends and it left a MESS. Bowls on bowls from Alfredo & a trifle are piled in my kitchen sink. The trifle though was INCREDIBLE. What a simple way to make dessert. I got the recipe here from Mix and Match Mama, seriously my FAVORITE blogger πŸ’˜

Swimsuits For All Body Types

Swimsuits are tough. Being 2 girls with very different bodies, we feel your pain. One of us is super chesty and the other is flat as can be. One of us wants things to cover her butt and the other wants to flaunt it; basically we’re opposites in swimwear.

We wanted to put together a few top suits that we’ve tried on and they accentuate either of us, for ANY body type. Here’s a list:

For the Meg’s:

  1. This black Tommy BahamaΒ one piece. Covering for any type of girl.
  2. This colorful Trina Turk one piece. The plunging neckline shows JUST enough. Cheaper option here: Target
  3. This bandeau option that actually holds ya in! (on the right in the picture above)

For the Bayley’s:

  1. This Trina Turk bandeau top and bottom-SO fun and won’t go out of style. (also it goes with #FindingDory-how stinkin cute does that movie look?!)
  2. This Kenneth Cole bustier top to make you look like you’ve got it & cover your stomach πŸ˜‰
  3. This Kendall + Kylie PLUNGIN show-off your butt one-piece!

Which of us are you more like? What’s your go-to swimsuit this year?!

Father’s Day Gift Guide

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Happy Thursday! Father’s Day is in just TEN days. I always struggle with what to get my dad. Dads buy everything they need themselves. They have the essentials. However, my dad never updates his essentials, unless it’s hunting gear πŸ˜‰

Dads need new basics all the time. These happy socks are SO fun and soft. I love seeing the dads I work with sporting fun socks under dress pants and I think it’s an inexpensive way to expand your dad’s wardrobe.

Items 2, 3 & 5 are basics that are inexpensive and versatile. What dad doesn’t need these 3 things? I swear by Herschel products for my dad and brother. I got my younger brother the Herschel cosmetics bag (or whatever they call it for guys…) to put his shaving items in whenΒ he was headed to college.

My favorite item is #4, the golf grilling set. How fun is this?!!! For $30, any dad is going to go nuts over this!

What are you getting your dad?! Any fun ideas we should add?

May Goals Recap: Bayley!

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you all had a nice long rejuvenating weekend! I can’t believe it’s already June 5th! WOW! What happened to May?! Meg and I have officially been blogging for a whole month!! We are so thankful for all of you!!

Now on to my May goal recap and onto my June goals!! I’m proud to announce that I have cut back HUGE on eating yummy burritos from Scooters! It’s hard but I feel so much better about myself when I make breakfast at home! I did get time to write some sweet notes to friends. However, I feel that I can always improve on showing the people I love that I love them!

Unfortunately, my childhood bedroom hasn’t changed much since my last post. That is still a huge work in progress. I have SO many clothes that I need to get rid of that it’s kind of overwhelming!! I don’t even know where to begin. I still haven’t gotten to go on the Taco Ride. Tennis league and softball games are getting in the way, but I will do the Taco Ride before summer is over!!

June goals:

1) Run!! I really want to get in the habit of running again. I was really good about running and then college happened and life got busy.

2) Eat healthier!! Life is too short to only eat healthy. However, I have been eating so bad lately that I feel terrible. My goal is to eat more fruits and vegetables.

3) Stop over analyzing!! I over analyze everything! I’m sure I’m not the only one but life would be a lot easier if I would just not over think everything.

4) Plan a girls trip!! Meg and I are still best friends with the girls we hungout with in high school! We really want to take a trip this summer, but it’s hard to plan when we all can go. Life was easier in high school!!

5)Wear more sunscreen!! I’m all about tan, but I don’t want to burn like I did last week. Even if I can wear sunscreen every once in a while it will be a success.

What are your goals this month?! I hope you all have a great rest of your Sunday!

Pineapples To Work

HAPPY FRI-YAY! I may seem excited, but friends, I have gum surgery at 3:00 today… #prayersformeg! It’s nothing serious, but I am nervous. It’ll make my weekend one spent relaxing. I work part-time (fun side job!) at a golf course and I work Saturday, so I’m hoping I’m healed! Sunday I’m sitting around. Continue reading
